Continuous digitalisation together with McFilter

McFilter and esveo work together continuously towards a shared direction. Questions from purchasing, sales, logistics and management have grown into a connected data and operations environment for multichannel commerce, with reporting, planning and operational applications on one foundation. esveo advises, designs, implements and develops it further.

The starting point

McFilter is a medium-sized e-commerce company. Product development, purchasing, warehousing and shipping are handled in-house, while sales run through marketplaces and its own shops. Every new channel and product increased the interdependencies between demand, fees, stock and purchasing.

Individual exports answered individual questions but could not support decisions spanning several departments. A shared view of products, orders, stock and costs was missing.

A shared consulting and development journey

The partnership follows a cycle of understanding, prioritising, designing, implementing and improving, without a project plan with a fixed end date.

01

Turned questions into projects

We worked with business users to organise processes, decisions and data dependencies until each project had a business objective and a scope that could be reviewed.

02

Created a shared foundation

JTL-Wawi, marketplaces, logistics and accounting data were brought into one domain model. Without this layer, each new application would have defined products and stock for itself again.

03

Made causes traceable

Dashboards and analyses drill down to products, orders and components so every figure has context.

04

Connected planning to the same foundation

Forecasts, purchase suggestions and FBA transfers use the same data as reporting. Reviewed suggestions return to the inventory management system.

05

Developed the environment during operation

When forecast corrections applied only to the evaluated branch while the purchasing branch remained uncorrected, we moved both to one implementation. The sales-forecasting case study documents the result. New questions, including natural-language analysis, now build on the same system.

Impact on the company

Consulting has led to a connected system landscape.

A shared basis for decisions
Sales, margins, stock and goods movements come from connected data.
Fewer isolated handovers
Analysis and planning share a model and integrations.
Reviewable suggestions
Before a purchase order is placed, business users can understand its calculation and any deviations.
Development on the existing foundation
New projects build on the architecture already in place.

We support digitalisation through an ongoing partnership in which every new application uses the same data and decision-making foundation.
